You can attend the retreat without having attended the International Summer Festival.

During the 2025 International Summer Festival, we will receive a full commentary on Advice from Atisha´s Heart. For the first time, all of Venerable Geshela's oral transmissions on these verses are brought together, including his special advice on how to conduct a retreat on this text.

By keeping these advices in our hearts, we can maintain a peaceful and happy mind, make our human nature and positive qualities improve, set a good example within this tormented world, and achieve great enlightenment quickly.

During this post-summer festival retreat, Guen Demo will guide us with commentary and meditations to strengthen our understanding and make a special connection with these tips.

 Notice: in all sessions the teacher will give the meditations and teachings in English. We will have simultaneous translation into Spanish, you can reserve it when you register.


ABOUT THE TEACHER 

Gen Kelsang Demo is the national spiritual director of the Western and Midwestern US and is the resident teacher at the Grand Canyon International Kadampa Retreat Center. She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 29 years and has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism since 1998.

Guen Demo is deeply respected as a teacher and practitioner. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear, inspiring teachings for people of all interest levels.

Accommodation in Kadampa Mexico

Accommodation prices are for two nights and do not include payment for the event. When paying, you must add the cost of the event and the desired accommodation to the cart. All prices include continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, but do not include lunch or dinner.
